2004-07-23, The Vietnamese Constitutional Monarchist League - The Imperial Nguyen Dynasty of Vietnam opposes the Communist Government of Vietnam’s effort to suspend the Transnational Radical Party concerning Mr. Ksor a member general of the council and the President of The Montagnard Foundation(PRWEB) July 23, 2004 -- His Imperial Highness Prince Regent Nguyen Phuc Buu Chanh of Vietnam, Regent of the Imperial Nguyen Dynasty & President of The Vietnamese Constitutional Monarchist League supports The Transnational Radical Party and The Montagnard Foundation`s effort of non-violent advocacy of human rights for Vietnam and for throughout the world. Prince Nguyen Phuc Buu Chanh acknowledges that the Communist Government of Hanoi, has advanced a systematic oppression on the Montagnards and confiscation of their sacred land. This is the historic fact: In 1954, only 1% of the population of the Central Highlands of Vietnam was of the Vietnamese origin. The majority of the inhabitants were the peoples of the tribes of the Rhade, the Djarai, the Churu, the Koho, the Hmong etc. But in 1975, the percentage of Vietnamese settlers found in Central Highlands reached 32%. At the year of 2000 the figure was 72%. The Communist Authorities want to reach up to 100% at present. That means they intended to annihilate the Montagnard people. The Communist Government continued to send new settlers into the hills, homeland to clear forests for coffee plantations. During the 10 years tenure of 1986 to 1996 Vietnam became the world`s fifth biggest producer of coffee exporting 210,000 tons a year. All U.S. Dollars from exporting fell into the Communist officials` pockets and their collaborators. Disasters and casualties descended on our unfortunate brothers: Our Montagnard, Highland-Compatriots. Clearing of trees for farming terribly leads to nasty cycles of drought and devastating floods. Our miserable compatriots were driven to desperation. They are pushed further and further into deeper jungles and higher mountains where they can no longer farm or search for food. These are the concrete proofs that the Communist Vietnamese have committed their horrible crimes toward the people: On August 18, 2000, 150 of Rhade people in Darlac Province were forced to give up their tribal houses and land to the advancing Vietnamese settlers. The building of the new hydro-power dam in Son La Province, North Vietnam has forced a further 700,000 Highland-Compatriots to lose their livelihood and traditional land without compensation. The Communist Government of Vietnam is in Direct Violation of a Royal Decree that created a special statute signed by the late Emperor Bao Dai on 21 May 1951, establishing rights guaranteeing the protection of Montagnard lands and their continued access to political affairs. Article 1 guarantees: "The Free Evolution of these Populations in Respect of their Traditions and of their Customs." His Imperial Highness Prince Regent Nguyen Phuc Buu Chanh of Vietnam respectfully request the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations governments to reject the bill to unjustifiably suspend the Transnational Radical Party`s consultative status with ECOSOC on the unproven allegations by the Communist Government of Vietnam, which would be detrimental to the relationship between the United Nations and NGOs. "When we are not devoted to serve the People, we cannot have the right to ask for the favors from the nation." H.I.H. Prince Nguyen Phuc Buu Chanh of Vietnam Regent of the Imperial Nguyen Dynasty President of the Vietnamese Constitutional Monarchist League P.O.
