Longmont Area Economic Council Presents - Annual Community Appreciation Luncheon; Event honors local industry`s support of the Longmont community

Release by SHANNON MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS 2004-09-01, SHANNON MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS - The Longmont Area Economic Council (LAEC) will present its annual Community Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, September 15th at 11:30 a.m. at the Raintree Conference Center, 1850 Industrial Circle in Longmont. The event is designed to honor Longmont-area primary employers that have demonstrated support for the community through their support for local employees and donations to the charitable organizations that improve the quality of life for Longmont residents.(PRWEB) September 2, 2004 -- The Longmont Area Economic Council (LAEC) will present its annual Community Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, September 15th at 11:30 a.m. at the Raintree Conference Center, 1850 Industrial Circle in Longmont. Mike Landess of Channel 7 News will emcee the event.
LAEC`s Community Appreciation Luncheon is designed to honor Longmont-area primary employers that have demonstrated support for the community through their employee programs and donations to the charitable organizations that improve the quality of life for Longmont residents. The event also includes the presentation of the Tom Brock Award, given to a local business person that has forwarded the cause of economic development in the community.
Longmont business and community leaders are invited to come out and help recognize primary employers who give back to their community through these efforts. The cost to attend the event is $30 per person. Corporate tables for eight are available for $210. For reservations, contact LAEC at or 303-651-0128.
Area businesses supporting this year`s event include Platinum-level sponsors Longmont Power & Communications and Amgen, and Gold-level sponsors Longmont United Hospital, Wells Fargo Bank and Star Precision.
About the Longmont Area Economic Council
The Longmont Area Economic Council exists for the sole purpose of keeping the Longmont area economy strong. This is accomplished specifically by "actively supporting the creation and preservation of quality primary jobs." Primary employers are those who sell the majority of their goods and services outside the region. LAEC is a public/private partnership, governed by a Board of Directors made up of representatives from primary employers, the City of Longmont, and the business community at large.
